Spay and neuter is the answer.

Organizing a 40 kitty spay day takes a bit.

We can’t adopt our way out of overpopulation.

Feels like every other SCAMP blog is about spay/neuter, and that’s just fine by us! If ever there were a good use of SCAMP dollars, it would be for spay and neuter! With only 40,000 human residents of Cheatham County, and many of them already pet owners, we have got to stem the tide of unwanted litters with spay and neuter. Adoptions alone will never be enough if we don’t fix our animals. On June 18, 2022, SCAMP spent over $2000 to get 40 cats and 2 dogs fixed and vaccinated. A big bill to be sure, but totally worth the investment to prevent hundreds more cats and dogs needing homes the following year. Thank you for your donations that allow us to get all these animals fixed without depleting the shelter budget. Your donations Make It PAWSible!
