SCAMP is there 24/7
Because illness happens can happen any day!
Mally was doing great until she wasn’t! Recently brought in, covered in ticks, sores on her neck from being chained. Life had not been kind to Mally but things at CCAC were looking up. Nice bed, blanket, food, water, air conditioning, toys, dogs to play with, and loving humans. But a few days after her arrival, Mally looked lethargic. Staff noted she had a fever and wasn’t eating. Not really convenient for a Saturday with most vets closed. But thanks to your donations, SCAMP has funds to handle emergencies that come up at inconvenient hours! Mally was transported by volunteers to an emergency vet, where she received fluids, antibiotics, and other meds and was observed overnight. Diagnosis still uncertain but doing better and discharged back to CCAC. Glad SCAMP could be there due to available funds to help Mally get back on track and closer to fine.
