Kitten season feels like endless summer.

Making sure kittens get home safely.

Taking care of the kitties from start to finish.

Mid June and it’s still kitten season? Unfortunately yes. We will all be happy to put this one in the books, but right now it’s a long chapter. The reality is that we have had gobs of kittens coming into CCAC this year. Our kitten foster coordinator has worked tirelessly to get them into foster homes, in fact over 90 kittens with fosters as this is written. Every kitten coming through CCAC gets vaccinated, tested for FELV/FIV, started on flea/tick meds and is altered before adoption. SCAMP doing its part to help out purchased 4 cases of cardboard cat carriers so that the adopted kittens don’t escape on their way home! We also ordered some kitten food because we have lots of hungry mouths to feed! Please fix your kitties! If you have kittens you want to surrender, please call the shelter 615-792-3647, and let us know if you want to foster kittens for a few weeks!
