Animal control is population control.

No critter ever looks thrilled on spay day!

Responsible sheltering.

An animal control facility starts with animal control. CCAC is not just an adoption center or place to house homeless animals. It’s a facility that ensures basic responsibilities which include animal population control through spay and neuter, and rabies vaccinations. Those items are fundamental to the mission of animal control, yet believe it or not, they haven’t always been easy to accomplish! If you don’t have access to a vet, it’s impossible to get those things done! With the ripple effect of the COVID pandemic and a general shortage of veterinarians in this area, the past few years have been a struggle. We seem to be rounding the bend in 2022, solidifying relationships with organizations that provide affordable spay neuter services, so we can adopt animals responsibly! Last week SCAMP was happy to pay for 11 cats to be fixed and vaccinated. Thanks to our partner organizations that Make It PAWSible!
