First things first, Fletcher!

Getting fixed is an essential shelter responsibility.

Good things come to those who get fixed!

Call it serendipity. Call it good timing. Fletcher needed to get fixed before he could be adopted out. That’s written into Tennessee legal code plus it’s just good shelter animal stewardship. With a small facility like Cheatham County Animal Control that lacks a vet on site, we sometimes have to take one dog at a time to get fixed, and Fletcher got the call! Luckily for him, we took some cute photos the night before, and shared them on social media! All it takes is one interested adopter to take notice, and that’s what happened to Fletcher. After a few phone calls and a neuter in the morning, Fletcher went home with his new family in the afternoon. Of course, it all worked out because Fletcher was fixed and vaccinated and ready to go home!
