The chips are in!

Prancer is a typical stray without a chip.

A microchip can make all the difference.

Microchips are the best way to identify a lost animal. Every animal that comes into the shelter is scanned for a microchip. Sadly, it is the rare animal that actually has a chip, and even rarer that the chip is registered to the current owner! At CCAC, we are striving to get all our dogs microchipped so that if the dog gets lost, any vet or shelter will be able to scan the dog for contact information so that he or she can be reunited! Microchips are a small investment for such an important purpose! SCAMP was happy to purchase 60 microchips for our animals, and we will be happy to replenish them when we need more!
