Living his best life, finally!
Making the most of the time we got!
When Timber arrived at Cheatham County Animal Control in March, 2022, it wasn’t clear he would make it. Emaciated, riddled with old untreated injuries, blind in one eye, and a tumor on his scrotum. The vet felt it would be reasonable to euthanize, given the extent of his issues. But looking at his sweet, tired face, we saw a glimmer of hope in his eye (his one good one, anyways!) So off with a foster he went, and we found out that there was lots of hope inside of him, along with a gentle spirit and a love for children, and we all thought, it’s not his time! So SCAMP decided to make Timber our first “fospice” dog, meaning that we will pay for his medical needs and Timber will have a permanent foster, so long as he is comfortable and his quality of life is good. No telling how long Timber will be on this earth, but one thing is for certain, Timber now knows what it means to be happy, cared for, and loved.
