On January 17, 2022, Betty White would have turned 100 years old. To commemorate her lifelong dedication to animals, the internet caught fire and was ablaze with donations to animal shelters and rescues everywhere. We were completely caught off guard by the overwhelming show of support for SCAMP and for the animals of Cheatham County Animal Control. Having received $6000 in donations, we set to work the next day to address the immediate needs of the shelter. Several cats had upper respiratory infections, and CCAC needed two humidifiers to treat them. The dogs were low on canned dog food, our slip leads needed replacement, and we were completely out of food boats for the cats. Done. At SCAMP, we are glad to make these types of purchases quickly, and donations from the #BettyWhiteChallenge made it PAWSible.
