Sam the German Shepherd came to us after his owner died. Ten years old, and starting to feel his age, there was not a huge market of adopters in the area looking for a ten year old German Shepherd. Lucky for Sam, an out of state rescue found an adopter who was looking for a big ol’ senior guy. However, Sam needed to get neutered ASAP, and SCAMP was all too happy to step in quickly and pay for that. Because of his age, additional bloodwork was required not to mention heartworm testing (he was positive). Total amount $286, paid for in June, 2021, just a month after SCAMP had opened their bank account! Sam did great and is now living his golden years with a family up north, and his heartworm is being treated as well.
