The penalty for going after chickens is steep.

We do understand that dogs should not go after the neighbors chickens. But the dogs don’t understand that. It’s in their nature. Sometimes we wish people would just fire their gun in the air instead of shooting to kill. And yes we also wish people would keep their dogs on their property, so we get there are two sides to the matter. But here we are with sweet Sophia, who was shot in the neck. The bullet went in the front and exited her back and it’s a miracle she didn’t sustain more damage! She’s great with kids, dogs and cats, just not chickens, so we will nurture her until she is ready for her perfect home!
