We’re starting to notice a theme here. Too many homeless dogs. Too many of them testing positive for heartworms. Poor Hank has probably never been on prevention in his life, so it’s not a surprise that he tested positive for heartworms. He is a big boy, and his treatment is more expensive because of that. But he’s a good boy and of course we at SCAMP are glad to pay. But it does make us sad to know this could have been prevented with a monthly chews, about $10 per month. If you love your dogs, treat them like you love them, with appropriate vaccinations, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention!
