Kennel injuries give us PAWS.

Saturn is a good sport, again.

Kennel related injuries, a recurring theme.

When your kennels are made of chain link fencing rather than painted cinder block or tile walls, injuries are bound to happen. The wires are easily bent and distorted by bored and frustrated dogs, leading to wires that are sharp and out of place. So we shouldn’t be surprised when dogs cut themselves on the wires, but we are surprised how frequently it happens, and how significant the injuries have been. Poor Saturn has hurt herself at least twice, each requiring a visit to the vet, once for sutures, and once for this splint. Looking back, we have spent over $1000 on kennel related injuries, which tells us it’s time to do something about it. Looking forward to collaborating with the county to make the shelters safe for the furry residents of Cheatham County Animal Control.
