Rai is healing up nicely and looking good!

Ray needed eye surgery; SCAMP was there.

Good thing we were made with two eyes, so when one is not working, we still have another! Rai came to us with a very cloudy bulging left eye. Anything but normal, and really too distended to leave in place. Wanting a definitive diagnosis, we had Rai seen by veterinary ophthalmologist who felt this was most likely congenital glaucoma, in other words, he was born with a diseased eye. It looked very vulnerable to injury and infection, so the ophthalmologist removed his eye. We are amazed how quickly Rai is healing. SCAMP was happy to do this, not just to keep Rai healthy, but to make him more adoptable so that adopters would not have to bear that expense. Cheers Rai!
