Too many injuries. It’s dangerous outside!

January 2024 came in like a lion that’s for sure! SCAMP was very busy arranging medical care and paying vet bills, especially for injured cats. Three cats had limb amputations due to injuries. One cat’s femur was shattered from a bullet. Other cats likely were hit by a motor vehicle. Please folks there are many reasons to keep cats indoors, and preventing injuries is just one good reason. SCAMP was glad to pay for their care, and they will be just fine. Luckily cats can live happy lives with just three legs. But a good lesson is that an ounce of prevention is worth a lifetime of able-bodied health. Peggy also shown in the blog is doing well too!
